Fencing is known for its focus on strategy and mental engagement.  All kids can benefit from learning to fence because fencing improves focus and coordination, and self-control, yet most kids never get any exposure to fencing because it is expensive. Girls and kids from minority backgrounds are even less likely to have any exposure to the sport.  

En Garde Souderton was created so every kid in the Souderton Area can learn and fence for free.
